I can't believe that our first summer with Hope is over. The weeks of swimming, barbecuing, and eating watermelon seem to have passed in a flash. And although I'm sad to see summer go, I am super excited to share my favorite time of the year with my daughter. I cannot wait to play in the leaves with her, to see her in her first Halloween costume, to take her trick or treating and watch her take her first bite of Grammy G's Thanksgiving stuffing.

Hi, Steph! I really appreciate your thoughtful comment on my blog yesterday. I am so sorry to hear about your Sigmund - that must be so heartbreaking. I love the picture of him and am happy that he lived such a long {and happy} life. We have a 13 year old Corgi and I know we're going to be facing the same situation in the near future. I have three girls and I've been trying to prepare them for the inevitable, but it will still be difficult as you well know:(
