Merry Christmas! Today we celebrated our first Christmas with Hope, and what a good morning it has been. Santa came, bringing Hope lots of presents. Here she is opening a few of her gifts.
Yesterday, Hope's cousin, Jackie, graduated from college. Although Hope couldn't be there to celebrate the occasion in person, she did break out her guitar and did a little celebratory dance in Jackie's honor.
Yesterday, Hope experienced her first major snow storm and her first tobaghen ride. We weren't sure if she was enjoying herself. She didn't crack a smile throughout the whole experience. However, she did raise a fuss when we brought her back inside. Here are some photos of her day playing in the snow with our neighbors.
Shorty has one other Christmas wish...he wants to put an end to puppy mills. If you are planning on adding a pet to your family this holiday season, please go to shelters and rescues, and not pet stores, for your new addition.
Hope woke up with the most amazing hair do this morning. I just had to capture it and share it with everyone. Even with "Bride of Frankenstein" hair, she still looks beautiful.
We have been friends for 20 years, in love for five years, and married for three years. We are currently a family of five, Steph, Evan, Shorty (our beautiful doggy), and our kitties (Einstein and Spanky). We are the proud residents of Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia PA, and former Brooklynites. We cannot wait to travel to Ethiopia to pick up our little girl, and become a family of six!
